Puchase of Cummins Power Rental Business
The Asian Power Awards recognise outstanding achievements in Asian power. Aggreko was recognised for its 40 MW rental power plant at Khulna, Bangladesh. The power plant, delivered in just 130 days, is helping to stabilise the local grid.
State Utility Company of Bangladesh - Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDP) awarded Aggreko to supply temporary power at Khulna.

Persistent drought in Kenya is causing severe power shortages across the nation as around 74 persent of Kenya's electricity is generated by hydropower in Tana River basin.
The 33,000 ton platform, built by Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI), is now ready to mobilise to its offshore destination and Aggreko will continue to provide power whist the platform is in transit and for the initial period on location.
Aggreko announced that it has strengthened its Canadian presence by acquiring all the assets of Power Plus Rental and Sales.
