When Bad News Comes in Threes for One California Hospital, Aggreko Provides a Reliable Solution

The customer challenge

For one hospital in California, it was one problem after another. They first experienced problems with their chiller and then suffered a major chiller failure the following year. To top it off, they also incurred problems bringing their new co-generation plant online during this same time period.

Aggreko was called to provide temporary solutions on demand, so the hospital could maintain operations during times of uncertainty.

The Aggreko solution

The first time the hospital’s own chiller began to malfunction, Aggreko was able to quickly provide an emergency chiller supplying temporary cooling for approximately one month. 

The hospital was impressed with Aggreko’s ability to provide virtually turnkey installation, including the installation of special fittings to match existing fittings on condenser and chilled water pipes.  That is why when the hospital’s chiller problems resurfaced the next year, this time in the form of a major failure, they called  Aggreko.

This time, the temporary Aggreko equipment stayed onsite for 16 months while the problematic new co-generation plant was brought online.

Through it all, Aggreko provided the reliable equipment needed to weather a series of equipment malfunctions and maintain a clean, healthy environment for patients.
