ARM in Action: Keeping Connecticut on Air
Client: A nationally known cable sports network
Location: Connecticut, USA

The Challenge
Averting a power outage
Aggreko’s Remote Operations Center (ROC) received an emergency low-fuel alarm from an Aggreko generator being used by a nationally known cable sports network. Aggreko Remote Monitoring (ARM) embedded in the generator flagged that the fuel level had dropped to 14% — while the network was covering the annual Pilot Pen Tennis Tournament in Connecticut. In the event of an outage, the entire tournament broadcast team — including the production trucks and camera crew — would be without power. Meaning the entire event production would go offline.
Key Facts
The Solution
Monitoring and communicating the issue
The customer needed a solution that would allow them to keep the production online. Through the ROC, Aggreko was able to monitor and communicate the fuel status to the customer. Once the issue was highlighted and properly communicated, the sales representative was able to successfully schedule a fuel drop.
The Impact
Keeping the broadcast running
Aggreko made the fuel drop before the unit shut down. This timely intervention helped the customer avert an outage and keep the broadcast running.
