When Hurricane Georges hit the eastern U.S. coast in 1998, a produce supplier with 500 tons (453 m.t.) of perishables docked in the bay found themselves in a dire predicament.

A contingency plan went into action immediately, calling on Aggreko to power the containers using fifteen Cargo Power units while they were moved to a facility 10 miles (16 km) inland to weather the storm.
