Aggreko Provides 100% Oil-Free Air for Critical Pipeline Repair Project

The Customer Challenge

When a company found that its pipeline system that was in service had developed leaks, immediate attention was required. After contracting an inspection company to determine the severity of the problem, it was decided that the pipeline would be repaired and relined in place using sub surface equipment.

This was a delicate and critical process that required a clean consistent flow of compressed air while the lining was applied. The contractor that was called in to perform the repairs has previously worked with Aggreko on many successful projects and therefore requested that Aggreko be included in the development of the solution.

The Aggreko Solution

The contractor knew from past experience that Aggreko could deliver 100% oil free air. Incorporating desiccant dryers into the system ensured there would be no moisture related contamination issues in the pipeline.

Compressed air specialists at Aggreko determined that the application would require two diesel-driven oil-free air compressor rentals, coupled with regenerative desiccant rental air dryers.

The Benefit to the Customer

The owner of the pipeline was the benefactor of a quick turnaround and quality solution that helped return the pipeline to service.
