Aggreko is delighted to announce it has entered a partnership to support one of the world’s most promising golfers, Jordan Smith.

Jordan, 24 and from Wiltshire, UK, has enjoyed a rapid rise through the golfing ranks since turning pro in 2014. He is currently midway through his maiden year with the European Tour. He is currently placed 41st in the Race to Dubai rankings and making a strong impression in his debut season.

“We are delighted to support Jordan in his first year in this prestigious golfing event. He is a very promising young player, who has a great future ahead of him, and we are thrilled to be able to help him,” said Kevin Brownhill, Head of Partnership and Sponsorship for Aggreko Major Events.

The partnership was brokered by sports management company MB Partners, who have managed Jordan since 2013, as well as a number of other elite clients in golf and motorsport.

“Our partnership with Jordan, and his management team at MB Partners, is a natural fit for us and our strategy to be the leading supplier of power and heating and cooling services to the world’s major sporting events,” said Brownhill.

The new relationship between Aggreko and Jordan is timely, which sees him heading to the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open this week.

MB Partners’ CEO, Mark Blundell, said of the partnership deal: “Aggreko is the market leader in its field and we are looking forward to establishing a powerful partnership between them and Jordan. Over a period of time we have been looking for the right brand and company to partner with Jordan and in Aggreko we are delighted to have found the ideal fit.”
