Aggreko to showcase windfarm expertise at WindEnergy 2018
Aggreko will be attending WindEnergy 2018, a global wind exhibition held in Hamburg, Germany, to exhibit its range of products for the wind industry.
The exhibition, focusing on providing a platform for business, networking, and information-sharing for both onshore and offshore wind, is taking place between 25 and 28 September. Aggreko will be exhibiting with a delegation of Scottish companies, brought together by the international arm of Scottish Enterprise.
With offshore wind set to grow to a record capacity by 2020, Aggreko will showcase its extensive experience working with the windfarm industry, including its provision of full security throughout the five stages of a windfarms’ life cycle. This includes providing generators for the construction and commissioning phases, batteries for windfarms, and contingency planning for emergencies or periods of shutdown.
Earlier this year, Aggreko was awarded a £1.5m million grant by Scottish Enterprise, helping to fund development of its renewables offering, with a particular focus on solar-diesel hybrid solutions & energy storage. Subsequent initiatives include working with Equinor and Masdar throughout the lifecycle of its Hywind project - the first floating wind farm off the coast of Scotland. Aggreko and Younicos also recently designed and installed a 1 MW Batwind system, providing a flexible and temporary rental solution.
At WindEnergy 2018, Aggreko will be at Hall B2 Stand 253.28.
