Critical power for a remote temporary sewage works during the construction of new plant
The Isle of Man needed a new sewage treatment plant and ACE Hire and Sales got the job. The new £6m plant comprised new pipelines and pumping station, as well as a new treatment plant, refurbished pumping station and transmission pipeline. And ACE needed robust continuous power to keep the temporary dewatering plant online, while its replacement was being built.

Power for the temporary plant plus pumps to construct the new site
We supplied two 200 kVA generators to power the temporary dewatering plant during construction of the permanent infrastructure. We synchronised our units to ensure continuous power in the remote location, so should one fail, the other could take over the complete load, as a fail-safe backup. We also put in 12 pumps to support construction of the new permanent plant.
The Aggreko Difference
We support you in water-tight ways, whatever your challenge
Fail-safe continuous power, plus pumps
The temporary plant was crucial infrastructure on a remote site, where power failure was simply not an option. That’s why we put in two generators to work in-sync, just in case. They provided reliable power throughout the build.
"Aggreko supported us in delivering power to this major project. The synchronised generators provided a failsafe solution to maintain a continuous power supply".
