Aggreko on show at the 2017 Mine Ventilation Conference
The 4th Australian Mine Ventilation Conference was recently held at the Brisbane Convention Centre from 28th – 30th of August. The event brings underground mine operators, planning personnel, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, government regulators, consultants and research and technology personnel together to explore achievements and build a better industry. Mine ventilation controls form many of the core risk activities in underground coal and metalliferous mines. Significant developments in practice and research in recent years have helped ensure we maintain and improve levels of safety within our underground mining sector.
Over 220 delegates from 9 different countries attended and Aggreko once again supported the event as a sponsor. Our sponsorship afforded us the opportunity for our Head of Temperature Control - Mr Alan Loudon - to Chair the Heat and Refrigeration session in the main presentation hall. Our Aggreko representatives attended networking sessions, industry workshops, went on site tours and finished the conference off at the Gala Dinner where we were acknowledged for our support and technology developments to the underground mining industry.
Overall the event was a huge success with new opportunities for growth unearthed and many new contacts made. Supporting this event as delegates, exhibitors and as sponsors was extremely rewarding and we look forward to being involved in the Mine Ventilation Conference again in 2019.
