Aggreko-sponsored racing driver, Rick Parfitt, won the 2017 British GT Championship this week.

Rick, 42, from London, scooped 18 points in the race at Donington Park to clinch the title overall, racing alongside Seb Morris for Team Parker in a Bentley Continental GT3.

“We could not be more proud of Rick,” said Chris Rason, Managing Director of Aggreko Northern Europe.

“Rick is fast and determined. We are so proud of what he has achieved and are delighted with his win. It is thoroughly deserved.”

Rick is comfortable on the winning podium, having achieved third place with Team Parker in last year’s championships.

“A large part of my success is that Aggreko has been with me and has been able to keep supporting me on the grid,” said Rick.

“The relationship has grown into a successful relationship. I believe Team Parker, and the will to succeed and do that bit extra, is something that we share greatly with Aggreko, and hope to continue to share in the future.”

Rick first came to Aggreko’s attention three years ago, after meeting an Aggreko employee at a party he and his band were playing at.

When he’s not whizzing around a circuit, Rick sings in the RPJ Band, one of the foremost events and corporate entertainment bands, supported by some of the best session musicians in the country.
