Aggreko Signs Exclusive Temporary Power Agreement with
Major Texas Homebuilder
Houston, Texas – May 15 2007 - Aggreko, LLC (Aggreko) today
announced that it has signed an exclusive agreement with one of the
largest and most respected homebuilders in Texas, to provide
temporary power generation for all of the company’s residential
construction activity, including developments in Houston,
Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio, McAllen, and the Austin area.
Aggreko, the world’s leading provider of
temporary power, temperature control and 100% oil-free compressed
air systems, will supply all the company’s sites with power for
trailers, equipment and for individual homes until city power
sources are installed. In residential construction, meeting
deadlines and keeping within budget across a number of development
sites simultaneously is absolutely critical.
It is a testament to Aggreko’s track record
and reputation that when the homebuilder needed reliable, efficient
temporary electricity on a broad scale, they chose Aggreko.
Prior to signing the agreement, the
homebuilder established the quality and reliability of Aggreko’s
services, equipment and operations on a number of individual
projects. “Before signing a large agreement, many construction
companies want to ensure that a large rental company like Aggreko
not only has local service capabilities, but can deal with all
aspects of the contract, from construction to invoicing, in a
flexible, streamlined way,” said David Dickert, South Texas Area
Sales Manager. “By obtaining referrals from their field personnel,
they knew we could handle the job.”
Aggreko’s latest big ‘win’ reflects its
growing presence at construction sites around the Lone Star State.
“In one of the new Houston development locations we were renting to
four builders at the same time,” said Leah Bertsch, Aggreko’s sales
representative for construction in the South Texas area. “After the
initial order was placed, we had 14 x 30kW generators on site
within a week. For five months, approximately 45 – 50 generators
were on site at one time. To meet the demand for the project
period, the local Aggreko team drew on our network of service
centers to ensure each homebuilder had the reliable power and
service needed to keep their projects on schedule.”
