A refrigerated rental dehumidifier is simply an air
conditioner with both hot and cold coils in the same unit. A fan
draws the room’s air over the cold coils to condense the moisture,
and then moves the dry air through the hot coils to heat it to its
original temperature. For larger applications, Aggreko has a wide
range of rental air conditioners and rental heaters to provide the
right refrigerated dehumidification package.
A rental desiccant dehumidifier produces a
dehumidification effect by exposing a desiccant, or dehydrating,
material to a high relative-humidity air stream and allowing it to
attract and retain some of the water vapor. The same desiccant
material is then exposed to a lower-humidity air stream in order to
draw the retained moisture from it.
