Powering change: Aggreko partners with TEDxGlasgow ahead of COP26

Aggreko, the global leader in mobile and modular energy solutions, is partnering with TEDxGlasgow, the grassroots initiative created in the spirit of TED’s overall mission to research and discover ideas worth spreading.  

Aggreko, which is Glasgow headquartered, is a Principal Partner for TEDxGlasgow which aims to put a spotlight on the best ideas across Scotland and amplify them to a global audience in the hope of bringing about systematic change. This is the latest step in Aggreko’s efforts to build a more sustainable future, after announcing last year commitments to reduce local emissions and diesel emissions by 50% by 2030 and to become a net zero business across all operations and services by 2050.  

Over the next twelve months, TEDxGlasgow will deliver a series of sustainability and climate action related events to drive forward the agenda and raise awareness of COP26. Aggreko will take part in a number of initiatives, including workshops, contributions to TEDxGlasgow’s impact report and a presence as its annual conference. Aggreko will also sign TEDxGlasgow’s Climate Action Agreement which is to be announced on 7th October 2021.
