The client required a reliable replacement solution for their Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) units, which were undergoing repair on two offshore platforms. Maintaining stable power throughout this period
was critical to ensure uninterrupted offshore operations.

The project demanded a cost-effective power solution capable of meeting strict budget constraints while providing continuous and stable power to all installations. The client also sought to achieve a
substantial reduction in total cost of energy compared to diesel-based alternatives, without compromising on safety or reliability.

The Solution

Aggreko supplied and installed two QSK60 gas generators on each offshore platform, including all cabling and power distribution infrastructure. The solution was designed to ensure continuous and stable power supply while delivering measurable efficiency improvements over diesel generation.

All units were built to comply with HSE standards, including Zone II hazardous area certification and lifting requirements. significant operational savings. To further enhance operational safety, bespoke fire and gas detection systems with suppression were installed.

Aggreko delivered complete manpower support throughout the installation and commissioning stages and continues to provide round-the-clock monitoring during operations to ensure uninterrupted and fully reliable power supply.
