FAQ

Chillers cool air or water by transferring heat from one place to another. They do this by sending refrigerant through evaporator heat exchangers and condenser heat exchangers. Refrigerant enters the evaporator component as a low-pressure liquid, removing heat from the industrial liquid or atmosphere, depending on the type of solution, and becoming a gas. The gas is returned to a compressor, which increases its pressure further. The gaseous refrigerant then enters the condenser component, releasing heat and returning to its cool liquid state.

Chillers play an essential role in HVAC systems. Our chillers connect to our HVAC equipment to form a reliable, efficient and comprehensive cooling system.

  • Water-cooled chiller systems use external water (from a water tower) to cool your processes. They operate at lower temperatures for effective cooling and low running costs.
  • Air-cooled chiller systems transfer heat absorbed from processes into the air. The absence of external water sources means air-cooled chiller systems can perform better in freezing temperatures for a wide range of applications.
