The Challenge
Extra power to meet load demands from largest ore stacker in the world
BHP's US$3.6 billion South Flank iron ore mine under construction in Western Australia is one of the most technologically advanced mine projects in the world. Not only is it projected to deliver around 80 Mt of iron ore a year, but it will also harness the latest and greatest innovations in the field to allow the 600 operational staff to ensure productivity.
This will include autonomous-ready haul trucks and the world’s largest rail-mounted mine stacker.
