Aggreko powers Bluey’s home in Brisbane

Brisbane, Australia: Aggreko’s team of events specialists and technicians have combined their expertise to design, manage, build and operate the power and temperature control for Bluey’s World – a one-of-a-kind immersive experience that opens today at the Northshore Pavilion in Brisbane.

The Queenslander home of Australia’s most loved cartoon blue heeler has been brought to life by producers HVK Productions and BBC Studios Australia. 

“We are thrilled to be working with Aggreko again, having previously relied on the company’s ability to deliver temporary power and cooling – both on time and safely for our all of our events”, said Andrew Kay AM of HVK Productions.

Through this partnership, Aggreko was able to obtain mains supply to cover 75% of the site’s power requirements.  Using efficient design and energy usage of the cooling system, the remaining 25% is covered by Tier 4 Emission compliant plant running on demand only in peak summer season.  The comprehensive full power overlay will provide comfort control throughout the entire venue, thanks to 2,400kw of reverse cycle air conditioning.

Aggreko Asia Pacific Managing Director, George Whyte said the 3-month build took approximately 3,000 hours to complete and was yet another testament to the company’s ability to deliver large scale events using local talent.

Aggreko has been operating in Australia since 1990, and a major part of the company’s business is providing power for events, such as the Commonwealth Games (including Melbourne 2006 and Gold Coast 2018), Clipsal 500 V8 Super Cars, Cricket, Football and Rugby World Cups.
