Gas generators

Aggreko provides modular, fuel-flexible gas generator hire that delivers cleaner, cost-effective power from a single unit up to a multi-megawatt plant. You get reliable, low-emission energy tailored to your site without the need for long-term capital investment.

Commercial gas generator hire - cleaner, cheaper power

If your grid connection is delayed, unreliable or insufficient, or you’re simply looking for a more cost-effective power source, gas generator hire could provide the answer. We have invested in new generation, gas powered generators which offer world-leading efficiency in a flexible package. Housed in standard containers and modular in design, we can engineer and install gas projects from a single unit to a multi-megawatt power plant. And if you need to scale your capacity up or down, we can flex to meet your needs.

Avoiding making long-term investments in the current climate, particularly due to the uncertainty regarding energy pricing and security of supply, is a very smart move. Which is why there has never been a better time to hire from Aggreko.

Benefit from quality products and sector expertise with our gas generator hire services

Multi-fuel gas generators with quality design

Many of our gas generators are dual fuel capable, so they have the ability to switch between gas sources seamlessly.

Our generator engines come with proven ‘lean burn’ technology, spark-arrested silencing and are turbo-charged with after-cooling. Discover heavy-duty gas generator rental, with a purpose-built alternator making them reliable in continuous operations – even in the harshest environments.

Gas generator hire for more sustainable power

When environmental impact is a major consideration, our gas generator rentals fit the mark. With significantly lower nitrogen oxide (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO) and particulate matter (PM) emissions, Aggreko gas generators are a greener alternative to diesel.

Gas powered generators with flexible, modular design

Housed in standard containers and modular in design, we can engineer and install gas projects from a single unit to a multi-megawatt power plant. And if you need to scale your capacity up or down – no problem – we’ll meet your needs every time.

Whether you need gas generators to run in parallel with the grid supply, or in island mode for special purpose loads, our team will design a solution that fits. With a vast range of supporting ancillary equipment, our solutions will support a wide range of gas supply pressures. In addition, our extensive fleet of transformers means we can operate from low voltages up to 33 kV.

Multi-fuel gas generators – including CHP

Our low emission gas generators run on a number of natural gases, including natural gas, biogas, coalbed gas, shale gas and wellhead gas – so you can make the most of what you have when you choose gas generator hire from Aggreko.

We also have the technical capabilities to deliver Combined Heat and Power (CHP) solutions, enabling you to generate power, heat, steam or hot water by utilising waste heat from the engine's exhaust or high temperature coolant. This gives you extra cost savings, especially in processing environments.

Save on space

Our gas generators are housed in space-saving 20ft ISO containers. The 1375 kVA has the skid external to the container and the gas ancillary module (GAM) stacked on top, to greatly reduce footprint.
