Bridging Power Solutions for Data Centers
Powering data centres on your terms
With new facilities regularly being built and existing ones being upgraded, data centres need dependable power that matches their needs, on their schedule. You need to function without being reliant on the current grid capacity or a connection date that could send your entire project off track. We provide complete, turnkey off-grid power solutions, including both equipment and expertise, to give you access to both commissioning power and long-term primary or stand-by power.
We combine our efficient, reliable generators, battery energy storage systems, electrical distribution equipment, and load-on-demand solutions with a deep understanding of your applications, so you can achieve mission-critical goals and:
- Meet your data centre construction schedule
- Scale your data centre power to match demand
- Maintain the best possible availability and service levels
- Control your emissions and meet your sustainability goals

Which data centre bridging power solution is best for your business?
Our bridging power solutions encompass a variety of technologies, project configurations and services tailored to your needs, including load on demand, genset loading with battery storage, power generation with alternative fuels, and hybrid power plants.
- Bridging power supply and electrical distribution packages including diesel generators, gas generators, and dual-fuel options. With generators from 20 kVA to 1,500 kVA, we deliver the data centre power supply your operations need, even where grid capacity is limited, or a grid connection has been delayed.
- Hybrid power plant – With Aggreko’s on-site gas-powered system, you get reliable, clean, and low-cost energy on demand. Designed to be a source of continuous power, this solution can be configured with battery storage, connection to the grid, or integration with other renewable sources, and with the option to leverage virtual gas pipelines to displace other more carbon-intensive and expensive liquid fuels.
- Low emissions power generation technology – With diesel generators able to run on alternative fuels such as HVO, this power generation alternative provides constant, reliable, and efficient power, while reducing carbon emissions. Coupled with a load on demand system configuration, the generators can automatically power up or down according to demand on site, leading to more cost savings, maximised efficiencies, and reduced emissions.
- Genset loading with battery storage – By using battery storage as the spinning reserve, systems can handle the same load, but with fewer generators. For data centres, this means that battery storage helps to compensate for any disruptions to supply or frequency drops, leading to improved reliability, carbon emissions reduction, significant fuel savings, and enhanced efficiency across all generators that make up the on-site system.
How we can bridge power for data centres with reliable and sustainable solutions
Natural gas generator power plant + grid connection
Build a temporary power plant onsite using the latest in gas generator technology, with optional heat recovery to generate heating for the site.
Battery storage + gas generators + grid connection
Combine renewable energy sources with a power plant including battery storage from 1-2mW blocks
