A manufacturer of paper products with various sites in Italy reached out to Aggreko with requirements of a methane boiler, with a steam output of approximately 30 t/h at 8 bar for their Vicenza site.

This production site is very important to the customer because it is one of the only sites that produces skate paper. Unfortunately, their on-site steam generator broke down, pausing the production process of paper-making and any office heating.

Steam is crucial because it is used to heat process equipment, including the drying cylinders of the carton/paper machine. Downtime for the manufacturer could become very costly, so a swift solution was essential.

Aggreko’s temporary steam solution enabled the paper factory to proceed with production and fulfil existing orders, allowing the various workers to fulfil their roles as they returned from their holidays. The solution we provided has saved our client millions of euros in lost production and reputational damage had they not been able to fulfill orders.
