The challenge
Temperature control for a temporary venue
London Fashion week – held in February and September each year – is a red-letter event in the calendar of every designer, model, fashion reporter and VIP fashionista in town. The British Fashion Council (BFC) brought the Wow! factor by holding the showcase event in the Brewer Street Car Park, an iconic art deco building in Soho. We brought the heating and cooling.

The solution
A tailored package to suit the season
In partnership with the BFC we tailored a flexible package to handle the cooler months of February, as well as the warmer months of September. Air-cooled chillers or heaters (depending on the weather) were placed outside the car park, and a combination of air-handlers, tailored ducting and fan coil units were installed at discrete locations inside. Sound proofing equipment was used to meet council regulations.

We perform at powering world-class events.
The impact
Catwalking, canapés and costumes in comfort
Our made-to-measure temperature control package kept three floors of the building at the right temperature for catwalking, canapés and costumes. The compact, small-footprint equipment inside blended with the décor and was placed outside the sightlines of the audience, helping the BFC deliver another outstanding fashion week.
“Aggreko helped us turn an empty car park into a production space for a major international fashion event.”
