Aggreko approved as NCPA supplier of temporary power and conditioning

HOUSTON –– Aggreko plc today announced NCPA (National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance) members can now source their temporary power, heating, cooling and dehumidification from Aggreko. For the first time, participating organizations, such as municipalities, counties, school districts, higher education institutions and other government agencies, will be able to secure application-specific, temporary power and HVAC solutions through the cooperative.

NCPA, a leading national government purchasing cooperative, works to reduce the cost of goods and services by leveraging the purchasing power of public agencies in all 50 states. NCPA utilizes state-of-the-art procurement resources and solutions that result in cooperative purchasing contracts to ensure all public agencies can receive products and services of the highest quality at the lowest prices. More than 90,000 agencies nationwide, from both the public and non-profit sectors, are eligible to utilize NCPA’s cooperative purchasing contracts.

Aggreko, with North American headquarters in Houston, and offices in 40 cities in 30 states, has a long history of supporting public agencies at every level of government – federal, state, city and county -- for engineered rental solutions, including:

  • Emergency response for severe climate events such as hurricanes and large-scale fires,
  • Field hospitals and trauma facilities,
  • Local and national events, from the presidential inauguration to global sporting events,
  • New construction and building renovations, and
  • Clean air solutions for classrooms, dining halls and living quarters, to name a few.

“NCPA has enabled government procurement officers throughout the U.S. to make strategic, cost-effective use of temporary rental power, cooling and heating solutions,” said Philip Beanblossom, Aggreko Business Development Manager-Government. “Now, government can quickly and easily deliver the same high-quality solutions corporations in the construction, petrochemical, energy, manufacturing and entertainment industries routinely access – at favorable, pre-negotiated rates.”
