In this interview, Natalie Clark, Senior Director of Event Operations at South Florida Motorsports, shares how Aggreko supports the race with innovative solutions — including battery technology to reduce fuel use and lower the event’s carbon footprint.

What makes the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix such a unique event?

“Our race spans three days. We have 275,000 fans, and we plan all year for this event, ensuring that we have the ultimate fan experience. This is the largest event that we host on our site. Not only is it the largest, but we have to rely on the majority of temporary power on our site", says Natalie Clark, Senior Director of Event Operations at South Florida Motorsports.

Who provides the energy solutions to keep the event running?

Natalie Clark, Senior Director of Event Operations at South Florida Motorsports expresses, “Aggreko is our preferred temporary energy solutions partner. We rely on them to provide our temporary power and cooling solutions. At South Florida Motorsports, we have the highest expectations not only for our fans, but for our clients and vendors. Last year they were here for the first year providing power for our entire site, so we are excited to have them back again this year.”

What new solutions were introduced for the 2025 race?

Natalie Clark, Senior Director of Event Operations at South Florida Motorsports explains, “Aggreko is providing a new service for us this year. We have batteries on our site for the first time ever. What this does is it reduces our fuel consumption as well as reduces our carbon footprint.”

What areas of the event are powered by Aggreko?

“Aggreko is powering all of our back of house and front of house services, as well as 25 hospitality products. The impact that Aggreko has made is to ensure that we have redundant power and no failures on our site. It is super important to deliver a fan experience that has continuous power for three days straight.” Answered Natalie Clark, Senior Director of Events Operations at South Florida Motorsports.
