Government approvals and a tight execution window meant a naval hospital needed an agile partner for installation of a temporary air handler
Aggreko engineers meticulously designed a custom rooftop installation to protect hospital operations
The hospital received expert solutions that were deployed quickly and resulted in zero interruptions to operations
A mechanical contractor needed to replace permanent air handlers serving an active naval hospital library without disrupting operations. Delays in government approvals compressed the execution window, leaving little margin for error once work was authorized.
The project required tight coordination with crane operations and strict adherence to scheduling. Equipment had to be on-site, installed, and ready to run exactly when the lift window opened. Any delay would risk operational disruption in a sensitive healthcare environment where consistent climate control is essential.
Aggreko technicians and sales experts delivered a fully engineered temporary cooling system to maintain uninterrupted comfort within a naval hospital library during critical HVAC upgrades. The solution included two lightweight 140-ton air handlers, 125 feet of 20-inch flex ducting, 125 feet of power cable, and 100 feet of water hose.
Designed for rooftop installation, the equipment was selected specifically to align with crane lift requirements and site constraints. Our experts conducted a full site assessment before the deployment, engineered a custom solution, and coordinated closely with on-site teams to ensure precise execution. With Aggreko Remote Monitoring (ARM), technicians actively monitored and optimized our solution for maximum efficiency. Aggreko technicians managed commissioning, startup, and supported smooth decommissioning—keeping performance consistent throughout the project lifecycle.
Aggreko ensured continuous climate control throughout the upgrade, allowing the facility to remain fully operational with no interruption to occupants. The rapid deployment and precise coordination reduced project risk and kept the replacement on schedule despite earlier delays.
This project highlights Aggreko’s ability to deliver engineered solutions under pressure—combining speed, flexibility, and technical expertise. By aligning with site logistics and providing end-to-end support, we enabled a seamless transition between temporary and permanent systems while protecting critical environments.
