A manufacturing construction firm was in the early stages of building a large-scale bottling factory. To power the temporary job site trailers, the construction firm’s team deployed a 50 kW diesel generator for each site trailer throughout the site. However, this setup quickly proved to be inefficient, both in quantity of fuel usage and unnecessary emissions being emitted from the site.
The generators were consistently underloaded, leading to excessive idling, unnecessary fuel consumption, and frequent manual shutdowns and restarts. The site team was frustrated by the operational inefficiencies, rising fuel costs, and environmental impact. Adding to the pressure, the factory’s end-user had made it clear: the project needed to meet stringent sustainability goals and be a greener build from start to finish.
