A new carbon capture manufacturing facility was on a strict construction schedule with no room for delays. When the permanent utility transformers were held up, the project faced a serious setback. Without power, site services would stall, equipment testing couldn’t move forward, and critical production deadlines would be missed.

The stakes were high, elevated expenditures in potential overruns and delays loomed if a reliable temporary power solution wasn’t secured. The project needed a partner who could step in quickly with high-capacity power systems to bridge the gap and keep progress on track.

Aggreko delivered a total of 8.2 MW of temporary power across four separate systems, along with full electrical distribution. The package included four 1500kW + one 1000kW diesel generators, a 1200kW diesel Tier 4 Final generator, 2MW of load banks, 1 6000Amp breaker bus, and 6000Amp distribution panel. These assets were specifically configured to match the facility’s evolving needs throughout the project.

Over the course of nine months, our technicians worked hand-in-hand with the customer to manage fluctuating loads and optimize performance. Proactive site visits ensured any challenges were addressed, allowing testing and production systems to run smoothly and without disruption, while providing the client with the peace of mind to focus on their critical operations.

The temporary power solution enabled the facility to stay on schedule and avoid costly downtime. With systems energized and production equipment tested, the project team was able to meet deadlines and begin delivering their innovative carbon capture filters on time.
