Rethinking utilities for an event moved 4 months early
When our client, a major international golf association, told us they were moving up their tournament four months from August to April, we realized we’d need to rethink our strategy fast. Instead of focusing on just cooling tents we’d now need to assist the show organizers with preparations beginning earlier than expected in snowy conditions
With the snow continuously falling making the construction of the tents a challenge, the customer was worried about production loss of their largest vendors on site.

Right-sized kit and heaters for the snow
We addressed the customers production loss first by bringing in heaters to help control the collection on snow where the tents would be placed. To avoid the risk of tents collapsing from snow build up, we provided 4-500,000 BTU oil-fired heaters./p>
Next, we right-sized all the HVAC equipment we'd originally planned to use, cutting out unnecessary cooling capacity. We made adjustments to include air handlers with heat installed to handle the cooler temperatures in the mornings and evenings that could possibly arrive with a new spring date.

Prevention as well as cure
Our quick planning allowed us to set up heaters before the snow storms began, stopping this from collecting on the tent tops. The event kicked off without a delay — and guests experienced comfortable conditions.
Our solutions are game changers for any event allowing customers the flexibility to change dates and venue locations regardless of temperatures.
“Aggreko was able to switch from cooling to heating when the event was rescheduled with no loss of production or delay.”
