The Challenge
Provide reliable power for building restoration
Following flooding from a catastrophic hurricane, one Houston property management firm needed to begin restoration in the lower level switchgear room of their high-rise office building. The equipment had been submerged in standing water for over 10 days, which meant the electrical system was on the verge of being destroyed from corrosion. With no electricity or a safe means to power the offices, the buildings tenants could not return to work. The contractors needed a safe and reliable power source and they knew they needed to act fast.

The Solutions
Mobilization of LNG gensets and utilities
Utilizing LNG powered generator sets, our team designed, engineered and installed an electrical power supply enabling office tenants to enter the building within 96 hours. This included a portable LNG tanker, 5,000 AMP switchgear and 15,000 ft. of cabling running power throughout the site.
During the replacement of the building’s de-energized transformers, our remote monitoring technology and on-site technical expertise was available to ensure the restoration process stayed on track with no safety violations. Our power design leveraging LNG over diesel also provided the customer with significant cost savings over the three-month restoration period.
