The Challenge
How to repair equipment while production stays online
This water reclamation plant runs a massive operation – and to do that, it relies on 14,000 diffusers, pushing air through 9 zones, in 4 different aeration basins.
Over time, the system gets clogged with debris and the joints start leaking, making it impossible to carry on without urgent maintenance. Usually that means switching everything off until a clear out is complete, but that would also mean a backlog of dirty water.
Instead, the plant needed a way to fix the system while it continued to run at full operation.

The Solution
Alternating backup air-blowing systems to keep air and water flowing
To keep the plant running, we needed to create a massive, alternating air supply for three different basins at any one time. This was no small feat – the air supply had to be at least 5500 cubic feet per minute, at 8 psi.
To achieve this, we brought in six air compressors and 16 fuel tanks. These were monitored closely by our onsite technician and serviced every 250 hours, ensuring the project went off without a hitch.
