Aggreko cools Williams Arena for Lynx playoffs

The women’s professional basketball team, the Minnesota Lynx, had to find a new home for their playoff games. The chosen place for the team was the William Arena, but the building’s air conditioning wasn’t up to par for the athletes and viewers per league guidelines.

That’s when Aggreko was called to make the proper temperature requirements possible. Since the arena wasn’t designed for the needed cooling requirements, our engineers had to overcome the challenge of a limited space to install the solution properly.
The combination of chillers, generators, air handlers and a lot of work is what will give the fan base what they want.

Aggreko was recently featured on Fox 9 local news to talk about this challenge and the solution we brought:

The Minnesota Lynx will play the semifinals on September 12th against either the Washington Mystics.  The other team on Semifinals is the Los Angeles Sparks that will play against the Phoenix Mercury. Both semifinals happen at the same day and the final match happens on September 24th.

Aggreko has a tremendous amount of experience equipping sports events with the right climate. Regardless of the size, Aggreko Events Services gives the events industry the power to be spectacular.
