Keeping cool and staying warm and safe

Your performers might be some of the coolest people on the planet, but even they need help regulating their temperature before and after a show. Whether it’s air conditioning during a summer heatwave or heating at a mountain festival we can provide all the necessary equipment to keep them comfortable. Our flexible solutions mean that you can maintain different temperatures in different areas to cater to everyone. 

And with ventilation now more important than ever, Aggreko has recently launched a Clean Air Solutions offering, which provides modular, rental ventilation systems. These can be used for existing buildings or temporary facilities, including large tents, to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection. By using UV light and High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters the equipment can remove up to 99.6% of bacteria and viruses from enclosed spaces. With up to 12 air changes per hour, you can be sure that there is no stagnant air in your environment and everyone will be as safe as possible.

Power to the people

Festival-goers expect to be able to record images and videos to capture their fun at events, and they also expect to have help in keeping their devices charged until it’s time to head home. As part of your power solution, we can provide dedicated generators for charging banks so that they can keep their devices running even when they’re out of energy themselves. And by keeping them powered you can be sure they’ll provide plenty of free publicity for you when they share their digital memories on social media.

There’s nothing worse than a headline performance being overshadowed by the sound of a loud generator in the background. Or the ambient post-performance noises of a festival being drowned out by the power that’s keeping everything running through the night. People want to know the power is there for them when they need it, but they don’t want to hear it. That’s why Aggreko provides specialized low-noise generators which will never interfere with your event, as well as allowing for undisturbed sleep for attendees staying on festival grounds and minimizing the environmental impact on surrounding areas.

Green Power

Most festivals are keen to show the world that they’re not putting a burden on the planet with the amount of power they use. None more so than Glastonbury, and Aggreko’s green credentials have been a crucial element of maintaining such a long partnership with the festival. When it was last held in 2019, several locations at Glastonbury were powered by hybrid thermal-solar generators, combined with battery storage systems and proprietary energy management software. The efficiency of these innovative systems saved over 200 metric tons of CO2 compared to the use of traditional generators. Additionally, the Green Fields HQ ran entirely on solar power throughout the festival, and Green D+, a special blend of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil was used in Aggreko generators to further reduce emissions and greenhouse gases.
